1.    Why should an individual or company be concerned with justification of the problem?
 
The individual or company wants the best results for the product or service.
 
2.    How is market research used to aid research and development?
 
To see if people really want the product or service. Can make changes to fit the wants and needs of the people.

Essential Questions 2.1

1. How can one establish the validity of a problem?
Have enough evidence that corresponds accurately to the real world.

2. Why is it important to begin a design project with a valid problem statement?
To have probable cause to solve the problem. To make the problem worth solving. To have support from others.

3. How are experts and mentors valuable to the design process?
They bring experience and wisdom that new people dont have.

4. How can valuable and credible research be identified for use?
Research can be used to support your ideas to solve the problem.
